Mobile app privacy policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
This policy covers the Mythic City mobile game on Android and iOS, related support and beta testing. The promotional website and email-update signup have a separate website privacy notice.
Who we are
Mythic City is a trading name of Rumil One Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16936021. Our registered office is Unit A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, United Kingdom, IP28 7DE.
Rumil One Ltd is the controller for personal information we handle for support, purchase enquiries and beta testing. For privacy questions or requests, email mythiccityapp@gmail.com or write to our registered office, marked “Mythic City privacy”.
Playing the game
The game works offline after installation. It does not require a Mythic City account and does not send your saved cities or gameplay to servers operated by us. The game contains no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics SDKs, in-app purchases or subscriptions. We do not sell your personal information.
We do not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone or location. The game does not ask you to provide your real name, email address or other personal details to play. Mythic City is intended for teenagers aged 13 and over and adults.
Saves, settings and backups
Saved cities, campaign progress, city names and preferences such as sound and guidance settings are stored on your device. They remain there until replaced or removed. Deleting the app or clearing its data can remove your progress. Device backups or transfers may include or restore app data, depending on your operating-system settings; the game does not provide its own cloud-sync service.
If you choose Share backup, the app prepares a game-save file and opens the device’s sharing options. You decide where to save or send it. We receive a copy only if you choose to send it to us. Any service you select handles the file under its own terms and privacy policy. Restore backup reads the save file you select to restore your city locally.
Keep a separate backup before uninstalling the game or changing devices. For instructions, see game support.
When you contact support
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any details or attachments you choose to include. These might include your device and app versions, screenshots, a saved city or a purchase reference. Please send only information relevant to the problem, and do not send payment-card details.
We use this information to answer you, investigate problems and handle purchase enquiries. Our lawful basis for ordinary support is our legitimate interest in supporting players and providing a reliable game (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Where processing is necessary to fulfil a contract with you, we rely on Article 6(1)(b). Where necessary to meet a legal obligation, including handling a data-protection rights request, we rely on Article 6(1)(c). Support messages are not added to our marketing list.
Google Play and Android services
Google separately processes information for Google Play downloads, payments, updates and its platform services under Google’s privacy policy. When you buy the Android game, payment is handled through Google Play. The game does not ask you to enter payment-card details.
Depending on your Android settings, Google may collect usage and diagnostic information and provide us with app-quality reports through Android vitals. We use available reports to investigate faults and improve reliability. This is separate from an analytics or crash-reporting SDK inside the game; we have not added one. See Google’s usage and diagnostics guidance for your choices.
If you join a test using an email address supplied to us, or send testing feedback, we use the information you provide to administer the test and investigate issues. Purchase or refund enquiries may involve order information supplied by you or made available through Google Play. We use this information only as needed to handle the enquiry and meet applicable obligations.
Apple services and TestFlight
Apple separately processes information for downloads, purchases, updates and its platform services. Depending on your device choices, Apple may provide us with aggregated app information and diagnostics. See App Store & Privacy for Apple’s handling of this information.
If you test a beta through TestFlight, Apple automatically collects and shares crash and usage information with us. We may also see tester details, including your name and email address, depending on how you were invited. Feedback you send through TestFlight, including screenshots and comments, is shared with us.
We use beta information to manage testing, investigate faults and improve Mythic City, based on our legitimate interests in developing a reliable game. We do not use it for advertising or share TestFlight information with third parties. See TestFlight & Privacy for the information Apple collects and your choices.
Providers, security and international processing
Google provides our Gmail support mailbox and Google Play services. Apple provides App Store and TestFlight services under its own terms. Their services may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. See Google’s privacy policy, Google’s transfer safeguards and Apple’s privacy policy for their international processing and safeguards.
We limit access to information to people who need it to support the game and handle enquiries. The game stores saves and settings in its app storage on your device. Exported files leave that storage only when you choose a sharing destination. Protect any copies you send or save elsewhere, and do not include personal information in city names if you plan to share a backup.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Visiting these support and privacy web pages involves website hosting and font services, as described in our website privacy notice.
How long we keep information
We keep support correspondence and files only as long as needed to resolve the matter and necessary follow-up. We keep beta-testing information while it is needed to manage the test or investigate and resolve issues. If a legal obligation or dispute requires longer retention, we retain only what is needed for that purpose. Apple and Google apply their own retention periods to records they control.
We do not hold a server copy of your saved city unless you send one to us. You can remove local app data using your device’s app-storage controls or by deleting the app, subject to any device backup or restoration settings. Copies you export and device backups remain under your control and the settings of the destination you choose. We cannot delete copies stored with a sharing destination you selected.
Your rights and choices
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to, correction or deletion of personal information we hold, restrict its use, or request a portable copy. You may object on grounds relating to your particular situation to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact mythiccityapp@gmail.com; we may ask for proportionate information to verify your request.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local data-protection authority. There are no solely automated decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects. There is no Mythic City player account to delete.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the game or our handling of information changes. The date above identifies the latest version. We will provide any required notice or choices before introducing a new use of personal information.
